Understanding Frame Measurements

1. Frame Width is the width of the frame from temple to temple measured in millimeters. Frame width is widely known as the most important frame measurement because it corresponds to the width of your head. 

2. Bridge is the width of the space between the lenses on the part of the frame that sits on top of your nose . When you're looking at bridge measurements, think about how glasses usually sit on your face. Do they often times slide down your nose? If so, then a smaller bridge measurement or adjustable bridge will suit you.

3. Lens Height is the vertical height of each individual lens measured from the top to bottom of the lens excluding the frame. 

4. Lens Width, also known as "eye size", is the width of each individual lens in millimeters excluding the frame. 

5. Temple Arms is the length of the frame arm from hinges to the end, including the bend. 

How to Measure

The easiest way to tell if our frames will fit is to compare the frame measurements to a pair of glasses that fit you. Most frames already have measurement information engraved on the inside of the arm. The format is as follows:

 lens width □ bridge width    |    temple length

You can get the rest of the necessary measurements by using a measuring tape or ruler to measure your frame.

If you don't have a pair of glasses to compare measurements with then the next option is to measure your face. Use a measuring tape or ruler to measure your face from temple to temple. For the best results, hover the ruler or measuring tape over your face and beneath your eyebrows.
